Holy crap there's a video of the impact. That thing was coming in REAL hot. Looks like the props were still churning after it hit the water.

Why was it going north?

Was it trying to do the impossible turn?

It reached 4,000 ft before beginning the turn. Could there have been a bird strike at that height? Loss of lift on the turn? Seemed pretty normal until that point and then it came down with the quickness.

Took off on runway 27 (due west) and probably had a departure procedure (very common for south Florida airports) and had specific waypoints and ATC instructions before heading on his route.

That flight tracker said their groundspeed was 300mph but also had their descent at around 11,000 feet per minute. That is basically a nose straight down rate of descent like that PJ that crashed in Philadelphia earlier this year.

That ring camera didn’t look like the plane was in a straight nosedive though. Idk it happened too quick, hard to tell in that short footage.

15 people on a plane that has a max capacity of 11….sounds like they could’ve been way overweight.

Possibly. That's what happened to Roberto Clemente.
