Is in Harrison County, MS. Been saying this for the years, the coast has the best tasting tap water. There’s just something about it that hits different.

Anyone else agree?

You basing this on something actually concrete or you just throwing out an opinion as fact this morning?

Juneau.

Water comes directly from the stream behind downtown, pure snowmelt.

No fluoride.

East Baton Rouge has some of the best water in the South. The aquifer goes well into MS. Wilkinson and Amite counties. Enjoy it while you can. Meta is about to suck that well dry

I thought New Orleans one time won an award for this.

Many people do not know what goes into purifying surface water for consumption verses well water.

Some of that well water is just pumped to the surface without any disinfectants or purification done to it.

Im on well water here in Harrison County.

Tis more tasty than what I grew up with at the end of the MS River for most my life

They've been trying to get me city water since before I bought the house. Idk why they never bother with our neighborhood for these things especially since across the hwy has everything ha

NOLA gets their water from the river if I remember correctly.

Baton Rouge will have to enventually if the aquifer is not protected. Salt water and subsidence will eventually kill the aquifer EBR draws from.

River water isn’t bad. It will need plants to clean it. Does BTR have the funds for that?

Are you sure about that?

How tap water is different from well water.

quote:

What Actually Well Water Means?
Well water means the water that comes from an underground source called a groundwater.

Here’s how it works:
Source: A well is drilled into the ground to access water stored in aquifers beneath the earth.

Pumping: The water is pumped up from the ground and brought into your home.

Natural Filtration: As water passes through ground and rock, some impurities are naturally filtered out, but the effectiveness of this process depends on the depth and location of the well.

Benefits of Well Water:
Natural: Even today, many people love its natural taste and the fact that it has undergone minimal treatment.

Cost: After the initial setup, you might have lower ongoing costs compared to city water.

Possible Drawbacks:
Maintenance: You need to regularly test and maintain your well to secure water quality.

Taste: Well water can have a unique taste or smell, like sulphur or iron.

Contamination Risk: If not properly maintained, well water can be contaminated by nearby activities.

Baton Rouge water feels very odd when you shampoo. I've lived many places and never got used to how the water felt in baton rouge.

I get it whenever I traveled out side Of BTR the water felt different. That doesn’t make it better or worse. Look up the aquifer feeding BTR
