Frank Wilson is too important to the program

…to risk having to fire him as a coach. This dude loves LSU and LSU loves him. I feel like he needs to be promoted to an off the field role

No he really isn’t. Our running backs suck and they’re too light in the loafers for SEC play. Berry would have been a change of pace back a la Richard Murphy on a Les Miles team.
We’re like “he’s muh savior”.

Keeping him as RB coach would be a mistake IMO. Move him to off-field recruiting. If you need to save face so it doesn't look like a demotion, call him assistant AD of something.

It’s hard to judge our runningbacks when one of them shot into a crowd, and the other stashed murderers in his dorm room.
Dude had Durham, a 180lb true freshman, and a high school QB to work with, behind a god awful O-line

That’s my point. I don’t feel like he’s great in an on-field role, but I absolutely believe he’s a very important cog in the LSU machine and we need to find a way to keep him in a recruiting capacity. He legit needs a promotion and an office

Never clean half the house.

I would’ve agreed yesterday morning but the way they coached and game planned yesterday afternoon was some weak arse shite. Baker is the only person I’m remotely impressed with on the staff to keep a defense playing hard without Weeks and while the offense doesn’t have a pulse. I was very disappointed that Frank didn’t just send it and we were playing not to lose

Don’t forget Kaleb “run into the back of the first lineman I see” Jackson. SUCKS.
God I miss good punishing running backs.

That's not a promotion and likely would come with a substantial pay cut.
I'm ok with him moving to an off field role, I just don't see him going for it.

He’s had his chances as a HC and it hasn’t worked out and no I’m not talking about this season obviously. There’s probably no one at LSU that I would rather have in the living room with kids recruiting than Frank

Y'all realize he was the associate head coach, right? He will be demoted or fired by any new coach.

Nobody is irreplaceable on this LSU coaching staff
Posted on 11/9/25 at 8:10 am to DaleGribblesMower
Why? He’s virtually been in charge of this roster and it sucks. BK checked out and left the decisions to him and Austin Thomas obviously and look where we are.. He’s a big reason we are in this mess

Please stop this love affair. He is not capable of running a small D1 program. Just stop Verne.

Recruiting only. His RB room has not done well in years
Posted on 11/9/25 at 8:22 am to Honest Tune
I agree our running backs are small guys, granted the o-line is shite, but its time to get some big running backs, I've said it all year RB room is disappointment, you need a big bruiser

Those scat backs can’t line up and whip the big boys in the SEC unless you run an elite offensive line out there.

I think the game has passed him by.
