I’m meeting with family in Lafayette for lunch on Saturday. There’ll be 6-8 of us.

I’m looking for a place to eat, with good food, conducive to such a gathering.

We’ve been to Prejean’s a lot and Don’s as well. Would like to try something different.

Any cuisine, but not terribly expensive. Suggestions, please.

Thank you.

Bring the to Olde Tyme Grocery and get the half & half (oyster/shrimp), shrimp, or the special of the day (Italian Beef)

Posiedon

Does not open on Saturday for lunch.

Otherwise, outstanding recommendation.

I’ve been craving Pop’s poboys ever since I had it earlier this year

For those who have responded, I thank you. We are looking for more than just a sandwich/poboy place, so that takes a couple off the board.

Looking strongly at Rachel’s and Poor Boys Riverside Inn ( I just need to get past the term “Poor Boys”!).

Any other suggestions are still welcome.

Lets see: Lafayette for lunch on Saturday for 6-8 people.

Food must be decent, atmostphere must be decent, not too expensive. Not Don's or Prejeans. Not a po-boy shop.

In no particular order:
Riverside Inn
Bon Temps on Pinhook
Fezzos in Youngsville
Chimes
Zea
Romacelli
More Expensive:
Marcello's
Charley G's
Nhi Taste of Asia

Edit:

If you're trying to pick between those two, Riverside Inn has a better atmosphere and is probably better set up for your group. The menu is straight out of the 1980s - for better or worse.

T-Coons would be very accommodating if you gave them a heads up. Don't really need to give them a heads up, but they could maybe get y'all set-up ahead of time.
