Aranda doesn't have the talent on off or def at Baylor, that he would have at LSU. DA can coach defense and hire a top notch OC.

Everyone credits Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, CEH, and Brady for the 2019 NC, but without Aranda's defense there is no 2019 NC.

Amanda has proven a failure at head coach. Even his defenses suck

They didn't suck at LSU did they. Remember 3rd and Chavis? Bo Pelini?

Take your stupid takes over to Auburn Tiger board. Can't fix stupid.

Chavis had higher ranked defenses than all of Aranda's except one

That 2019 was a good not great defense

So name one defense that completely shut down every opponent and won a NC in the past 4 years? I'll wait for your answer and PROOF of totally shutting down these modern offenses.

A TOP 5 job in the country and some want to give the keys to a failed Head Coach. Don't forget that he has a program in some of the most fruitful recruiting grounds in the country, Texas.

Our defense under Aranda wasn't the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. They were good, had patches of great, had patches of meh too. We all hope that Aranda lands on his feet. Maybe even our Defensive Coordinator. But jeezam stop throwing names in order to be fringe edgy.

LSU can do better. Some of our fans, I'm skeptical.

I guess according to you Nick Saban was a failure as well.

Nick Saban's record at Michigan State from 1995 to 1999 was 34–24–1 overall and 23–16–1 in the Big Ten. He led the team to a final ranking of No. 7 in 1999 and is credited with revitalizing the program during his five seasons, though he went 0–3 in bowl games.

Overall record: 34–24–1

Big Ten record: 23–16–1

Bowl games: 0–3

Best season: 1999, finishing 9–2 and ranked No. 7

Was LSU a proven commodity the ten years before Saban?

NO! There were some 2 & 3 win seasons before Saban came in and righted the ship. We became a great job after Saban. Before we were unfulfilled potential.

We are better than a Aranda hire. Think big not mediocre.

How many schools in Texas does he recruit against?

Texas, A&M, Texas Tech. Houston. RICE, SMU, TCU, UTSA, plus many more.

Tell us all how much of a failure Saban was at MSU.

Saban came with risk when we hired him. He became a household name at LSU not before. LSU football was a year after year failure and we turned to a coach that was willing to come here.

Don't forget Saban made phone calls to his wife and agent right before his press conference telling them that he made a mistake. His wife told him to put his big boy pants on and get after it. Go back and look at our facilities at the time. They were a joke. That is no longer true. We are better than taking big risks now.

Point being--you do not fire a $100M coach to go get Aranda.

Kelly was the winningest active coach in college football. How did that work out?

A good argument to do the opposite. Hire Trent Dilfer. His win record is 33%.

Comical. Baylor alums have money. Aranda couldn't tap into it because he is boring. But even so, Texas has talent. If he couldn't recruit against the powerhouses of Rice and UTSA then god forbid he come here.

I don’t want Aranda as head coach, although I’d take him back as DC in a heartbeat but you can’t use a coaching record at a low end school as indicative of how he would do at LSU. Saban was 34-24-1 at Michigan state with one season over 7 wins.

Absolutely you can!

But if you want to ignore those facts go look at his losses over the last few years. His clock management alone cost them games and made Les Miles look like a Rocket Scientist.
