He was a hot name a couple of years ago after inheriting a shitshow at Arizona and turning out a 10-win season in his 3rd year. He replaced DeBoer at UW and has them ranked and 6-2 in just his 2nd year.
He has loads of NFL experience and success.
UF grad and the narrative has always been that he’d crawl to Gainesville for that job. I haven’t seen his name mentioned at all at UF since Napier was fired.
There were rumors at the beginning of the season that maybe he is not seeing eye to eye with the UW AD.
If I’m Verge and it seems UF is hell-bent on Kiffin, it might help to kick the tires on Jedd.

Believe he’s #2 or 3 for Florida. I think he would do well in the SEC.

Yes indeed, Jedd Fisch wasn’t even a football guy! He fell in love with Spurrier and Florida in the 90s and made a stern decision by God he was going to become a Spurrier himself some day. Florida should look strongly at him.

He’s the ultimate job hopper. I’d be shocked if he wasn’t someone else next year.

Not all hot names work out. Tom Herman was a hot name for LSU and Tx... and LSU got the better end of the deal. Lincoln Riley was another at that time and he's.... meh.

IMO he’s a better candidate than Dillingham.

I agree, but I bet we’re in the minority. These guys absolutely love Dillingham.

Look at Fisch’s resume… he’s not a flavor of the month type hire. A decade plus in the NFL:

Seems to be a pretty good recruiter, has one of the best QB / WRs in the Nation and they picked apart a Wazzou team that gave OM problems at home.

He's my #1 realistic shot for LSU I think, especially if UF gets Kiffin.

Not surprising, Seattle is one of several horrific blue cities.

Compared to many of the other names repeated on here, yeah.
Why do you have a negative opinion of him?

He's my choice for LSU. Jewish ball coaches do very well in Baton Rouge.

He doesn't know anything about Fisch. I've been following him since he was OC at Univ of Miami. He's a stud coach.

Context matters. I believe Herman had...off the field issues.

Lincoln is actually doing what many of his peers who got big contracts around the same time he did wouldn't do and that's change. Lincoln is changing his approach to the game in a much better conference. Also, USC didn't have their NIL ready to compete when Lincoln got there.
