more pay OR the same pay as those ATC that sat at home which contributed to the shitshow of flight delays and cancellations?

I’d imagine the ones not showing are burning PTO and will get paid that up until the point it runs out and then they will be unpaid if they didn’t show up.

They will receive the same pay as the ones not showing up plus premiums. The ones not showing up will get all their PTO back.

I don't think they have a choice to sit home or report to work. They are essential personnel and are required to be at work.

I would think PTO would not be authorized unless it was scheduled at the beginning of the year. This is considered an emergency situation.

That’s how it should work but I bet they get paid like they were at work and don’t burn PTO and the ones showing up get a firm handshake as a thank you.

That makes too much sense. We’re talking about fed government here though.

The ones that show up are only getting premium pay more than their “sick out” counterparts. And by the time the back pay comes their LES won’t show the details so it’s a case of trusting the government to pay what’s correct.
The no shows will get the PTO refunded and their back pay paychecks will be straight 80 checks.
No, it’s not fair or right

Interestingly enough the Transportation Secretary Duffy basically greenlit them not showing up the other day.

Perhaps a political ploy to put more pressure on the situation to reach a resolution but you may see more take other work to pay their bills.
