Shutdown talk - is this going to screw up my Thanksgiving flight?

Other note - State Department must not be shut down. I renewed my passport Monday and it is already in the mail back to me

I moved near family more than a decade ago. Not even an inconvenience if the planes are not flying.

Thanksgiving travel is always a shitshow. The shutdown just multiplies it times 1000. There is no way I would plan on flying the week of Thanksgiving this year. If it's driveable, that's would be my plan.

Very accurate. It's a massive propaganda campaign to convince Americans with too much debt and little to no savings that they must buy and exchange gifts that nobody needs or will ever use. Just another way that the US has gradually transformed itself into the largest debtor nation in history of the world.

I’d completely take them up on that, even considering yesterday’s horrific plane crash. Getting to fly on an airplane with unlimited leg room and like 5 other people on it sounds like a dream

The government isn't really shutdown. The people that processed your passport are working and not getting paid.
