Recruiting nowadays just comes down to money. I want a coach who knows how to coach and motivate. Leave the recruiting to an NIL manager instead. These kids are retarded, throw enough money at the best recruits and they'll come.

in the old days i would say 30-70, today i’d flip it.

the old adage it ain’t the X’s and O’s it’s the Jimmys and the Joes only applied when you can stack Jimmys and Joes and get out of bed already winning 70% of your games.

now the Jimmys and the Joes are a lot more spread out so X’s and O’s are a much bigger differentiator.

Plus the HC isn’t doing as much of the heavy lifting on the trail.

$18 million in NIL spending helps reduce the percentage of a coach having to be an elite recruiter. More coaching to improve on field production.

90% coach

We have NIL machine moving pretty well and staff is just as if not more important to recruiting.

I want a smart coach that instills toughness, is a great motivator, and has great attention to detail. Also has expertise on one side of the ball.

There’s not really recruiting anymore.

There is no recruiting anymore. Money, a history of past NFL success, family jobs, and lifestyle around the area do the recruiting now.

This is semi-pro football. 15000 college kids trying out for 1700 NFL roster spots. There are no allegiances and no relationships that money won't defeat.
