Could promote from within. Has great experience in coordinating and has been successful everywhere he's been, maybe he's ready for a bigger job.

There's no way that Blake Baker is getting promoted… When Frank Wilson is already interim head coach… If anyone is promoted from within, it will be Frank

Teams rarely promote a coordinator to HC, leaves too much of a hole. It’s always some sort of position coach.

Will be a HC for certain. Why not go for it now?
Would not have to overvalue a coach and set flexible contract terms.
Young energy who would bring innovation across and could partner with an OC
But of course this is LSU and we have to overvalue and be completely predictable
