Nice. Wish I could’ve gone before the hype, will probably be impossible to get in now and prices will jump I’m sure.

... true. But if anyone deserves a star or two , it would be Emeril . He reinvented food .

Saint Germain got one.

Zasu being the only other one is a total shocker to me.

Here are the New Orleans restaurants
- 2 stars: Emeril’s
- 1 star: Saint Germain, Zasu
- Bib Gourmand: Acamaya, Cochon, Cochon Butcher, Domilise, Dooky Chase, Hungry Eyes, Lufu Nola, Mister Mao, Parkway, Saba, Turkey and the Wolf.

Certainly some head scratchers there.

Same. No Nina Compton, no Kingsway. Lufu??? Wtf.

Based on some of those selections, Rosedale/Susan Spicier deserves at least a BG.

Edit: I know Michelin is pay to play to a degree…but those BG selections scream paid acknowledgement IMO.

I think they opened in time to be rated. They were mentioned as a “recommendation” at the bottom of the guide along with many other notable restaurants that we all thought could get a star.

Yeah but places that have been open that short of a time have a hard time getting in these guides, unless it is a chef that has already had stars and is well known

Crazy, no one was even talking about Zasu. It is really great though. Dakar not getting one is the biggest surprise.

The BG list is absolute steaming trash.

Didn’t notice the recommendation part. I see that Emeril’s other place, 34 Restaurant and Bar, got a rec. what is the consensus on that place?

Reviews have been rough for it. We almost went this weekend but opted for San Lorenzo instead and don’t regret it one bit.
