As if he knows he has much more drive and destiny left in him than being a sports talking head and commercial prop. I agree.

Just.
Saying.

At this point I’d rather enjoy hope and fun, disappointment is irrelevant.

Hot take here but I don’t want Saban.

He left Bama because he doesn’t want to coach or recruit while dealing with NIL.

Doesn’t he look miserable most of the time?

Maybe he has figured out the NIL challenge he thought he didn’t want to deal with. Being stuck behind a desk doesn’t fit him.

At least he didn't get the "joker" facelift yet...does look like he got a partial though?

Totally disagree. He hates what college football has become with NIL and transfer portal madness. And probably loves the lack of stress in his life.

Caveat, I don’t think he’s coming. …but a lot of the NIL has been “solved.” They now have revenue share and NIL deals now have to go through a clearinghouse (for anything over $600) to make sure it’s a legitimate deal with reasonable pay.

Link?

I bet most don’t but they do it to win and be the best. Lots of greats do it to compete more than anything else. Take way the competition and life isn’t as fun.

He looks like he wants to throat punch Pat McAfee. I’m with him on that.

He wouldn’t have to whoever he wants give him the checkbook. We are spending money hand over fist, at least Saban will be present and know exactly what he wants. Sign the check and get the fk out of the way. He has a whole receipt novel. They let CBK do it. One thing I do know Saban has an ego and an earned reputation, he will never MAIL it in, no matter how old he is or will be.

100% correct.

Saban saw what college football had become and wanted no part of it. And since he was probably only a few years away from retirement anyway, it was easy to walk away.

He won’t coach again.

laughable, Saban and Bama were NIL eons before it was legalized

he probably got frustrated because the playing field was being leveled

Nobody here has any idea what Saban wants or is thinking, but speculation is fun so carry on.

agreed, but it’s pretty naive to think Saban and bama haven’t been running a filthy program for ages, and displaying faux frustration at the “loss of innocence” of the game is truly laughable
