Played TPC Louisiana for the 1st time today

It gets a lot of hate but it’s by far the best public course in the area. I have the Nola card and play once a month.

Lots of bunkers and narrow but great shape. Played two weeks ago

Yep, best course in NOLA area. Greens can be tricky, surrounds are always in great shape.

Greens were just overseeded too, so you didn’t see it in primo form.
People hate on it because they compare it to other tour courses but I always enjoy it.

The only reason people hate on it is because of a poll years ago where the pros voted their least favorite course on tour. It’s a great course

They were a little bit sandy but not punched. I thought they rolled very nice. I’m familiar with both TPC courses in Vegas and have played them a handful of times. I like everything about how the TPC courses are run. I did find myself looking around and at the tips (or even behind where they might put a pro tee box) and thinking it wasn’t hard enough for the big boys but what do I know?

It’s a great course for Louisiana which is the worst golf state in the country.
By tour and US elite course standards, it’s meh which is why it’s so poorly received.
