Wade never signed a lifetime contracted NC State, I have a feeling if we want him after next year we get him.

He did sign a 6 year contract. NC State won’t make it easy for us to take him

Because NC State is a basketball school, LSU never will be. I know you Wade fellatio artist do not want to hear that but it is true. NC State has won national titles in basketball it is their number one sport and that will never be the case here.

This whole "basketball school"/"not a basketball school" is BEYOND stupid. Were Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee "basketball" schools before they landed on the right HC to lead them to great success?
Basketball can be NC State's "number one sport" all day long. But the reality is the ACC is falling further and further behind the SEC financially...and on the court. The SEC had 14 of its 16 teams reach the NCAA Tournament last year. The ACC had 4...and that was ONLY because the name recognition of UNC snuck them in as the last team in. If LSU wants to, they can find the money to pay more than NC State.
While in some ways I wish it still was, it's not 1983 any more.

His buyout is only $5M before April 1, 2026; it goes to just $3M after that date

Depends. Rumor mill says that the McNeese president is a candidate for the LSU opening and would likely bring McNeese's current AD with him to LSU.
So yes, it would be the place that fired him....but with the guys who hired him after.
