The most recent coaches’s last game outcome before heading to LSU:
Gerry DiNardo lost to Tenn (65-0)
Nick Saban won vs PSU (35-28)
Les Miles lost to Ohio State (33-7)
Ed Orgeron lost to UCLA (35-14) *Lane Kiffin took over and won bowl game
Brian Kelly won vs Stanford (45-14)
Except for Saban and Kelly, the others got blown away their last game after agreeing to coach LSU

So it’s a mixed bag of results. Why even post this?

So you watched the Tulane game tonight?
Or Saban lost by 7?
Or Saban lost by 7?

Why is that more important than the six games he won leading up to the UCLA game?

Are you sure about that? I believe Lane Kiffin was fired from USC early in the 2013 season, in a huge loss at Arizona State. It was widely reported at the time that he was not permitted to board the plane with the team to return to Los Angeles.
In fact, Kiffin's dismissal paved the way for the brief and mostly successful Orgeron Era at USC. I find it hard to believe Kiffin would have been called back to coach the bowl game

Ummmm. No. Kiffen was left on the Tarmac. Ed told over as interim head coach the rest of the season. When USC announced they were hiring Sark for the Job, Orgeron quit and clay Helton was named the interim coach and coached the bowl game

They all had more success than Kelly other than Gerry Dinardo.
