The gameday experience has sucked under Woodward.

I’m not saying it’s 100% his fault, but the football game day experience has been completely sold out to corporate America over the last decade. I think everyone here can admit and agree the concessions selling to Aramark, all the locked up parking lots are that crazy expensive for passes and the forcing of lsu sponsored tailgate packages in certain areas has sucked for the middle class family game goers.
I know this will get downvoted but certain aspects of going to the game have been awful over the last decade and they’ve made it harder than ever for family’s and lower/middle class people to go to the games.

Not only will Mike the tiger be in the stadium for games now, he’ll be loose!

the sport sold its soul to television networks, and now we will pay the price as the community experience we love is hollowed out in pursuit of the almighty dollar.
might as well sell the football program to private equity.

I agree on gameday experience, but that would have happened with or without Scott Woodward.
We can blame Scott for Kelly's dumb contract, but the revenue needed to be a big time program right now is quantum leaps higher than it was a decade-plus ago.
Sure the boosters cover some, but there's so much more we have to pay for now with facilities, shadow staffs, NIL managers, the list goes on.
Where do you think that money comes from?

You know that is probably the board and not Woodward right? Either way they have to get money for NIL from somewhere. I love him how you people think things are magically going to get better with an AD that bows down to the governor.

Money seriously ruins everything. We had/have the most beautiful an exciting pure sport in the country and the greedy slobs in the finance departments realized they can squeeze every dime out of it.

Welcome to Power 4 sports in the 21st century. This is not unique to LSU.

Alleva signed a 10 year(ironic) contract in 2017

This goes all the way back to Joe Alleva and his east coast stupidity.

What kind of revenue are they deriving from the piped in music?

That contract happened under Aleva. I find the concessions have gotten better in the last two seasons, but still nothing to write home about.

This is true.

Second that, but I don’t think it’s his fault. I think those decisions come from other in leadership

Nearing the end of the contract. Aramark is trying to get that renewal so we will finally see some effort...

I agree, because of that I did not donate money, did not renew my TAF (after 20 years) and did not renew my season tickets after over 40 years. I now just buy tickets online from individuals.

It could be a lot of different things, but I’d look at it as a lack of vision for the university
I mean, look how many years LSU was behind doing LED light show and enhancing the sound system?
Five years maybe?
The food
The bathrooms
The parking lots
The organization or lack there of
Someone needs to be in charge of that part of the entire game day experience
Maybe there is somebody but they just manage it. They don’t push it forward into something great
I think as the traditional fans have aged, they’re no longer desiring to sit out in the parking lot all day and cook and drink
If LSU hasn’t already, they need to get on board with the golf cart phenomenon that most universities have
They need to carve out some land around the stadium and dedicate it to four star hotels with great bars
They need to build a destination versus Just an open campus and a beat up old parking lot

The Tiger Stadium experience will not be whole again until he is brought back…

Just get rid of the DJ and it’s like 15% better.

I think by trying to keep up with other stadiums is our issue, when we never needed to. I don’t think Woodard is involved in the arms race of stadiums.
We should have stayed out of it and we would still be the best in sport
