Landry is making this a bigger deal than it actually is. BK's base "state" salary was $400k/year. Everything else comes from other avenues. So, only $4M of his $95M contract comes from taxpayers.

He's going to need Scott Woodward to help repair his reputation with all the TAF money men. Maybe they should tell Jeff to personally pay Woodwards buyout if he's fired.

Landry is going to see those donors moving away from him. He's embarassing LSU, and the Athletic program on a national scale. Going on McAfee and other programs lying about how the state is on the hook for the buyout, how he's going to go the cheap route for next coach. His mouth is just raising the asking price of the established coaches. Which he's not paying for with state monies, the TAF will be paying.
