Plus Kelly has won the Western Division.

Isnt Lane just more of the same?

Lane will probably be in the SEC Championship game this year. So he'll be ahead if Kelly when he makes the playoffs.

He’s not my favorite for certain. He did worse at TN and USC.

I think the OM fan base loves him for whatever reason and he won’t leave there.

Ok that means the only coach who you’ll be satisfied with is Kirby smart Ryan day or saban

He's doing better now. I care more about the now than the past.

BK did well at ND and Cincy.

I also think certain coaches can thrive under better situations.

The Kiffin fanboys don’t like facts. What he did to USC and Tennessee doesn’t even register to them.

I THINK Lane would do better than Kelly.

Problem is I don’t KNOW Lane would do better than Kelly.

This Lane at 14 million+ for 10 years is absolutely more of the same.

But some want Woodward to do it yet again

I would rather Sumrall. I think you need to take more of a risk if you want to be elite

Urban to Florida
Saban to lsu
Smart to UGA
Dabo to Clemson
Day to Ohio state
Lanning to Oregon

Pretty much all of the elite coaches get their start at a power school by someone taking a risk

You can now even include potentially Freeman at ND if he makes the playoffs again this year

Kelly was safe, and we didn’t crash and burn. We were very “solid”. But if you want that next level you have to take a chance

What have you done for me lately is all that matters. One still has a job the other doesn't. One is ranked in the top 10. The other not so much.

LSU fans would have you believe LSU is more than .025 better than Ole Miss

Therefore, Lane is outperforming Kelly

Would we have been in a hypothetical 12 team playoff in 2022?

Not sure Kiffin wants the expectations of LSU on his plate when he can win 8-9 games at Ole Miss and be the savior because it is a great season for their fanbase or come to LSU where 10 wins or Natties is expectation. Last time he was in a position with those type expectations he bombed at USC, just saying
