Just doing the optics, Saban can be had at any time so if it is him I would assume we would know sooner than later so he can get to work on his staff hires etc. Sumrall we will know about it when the season is over. He probably makes the most sense money wise and you are getting a really solid up and coming defensive minded coach much like Saban was when we snagged him the first time. I want lane but think it will be too expensive, same with Lanning. Franklin literally just got fired for the same shite Kelly got fired for underachieving. That's why I think if Saban says no its gonna be Sumrall. Can get him way cheaper out on a prove it deal and get a solid coach with a ton of upside.

Sounds like politics will get us with sumrall. Landry doesn’t want to piss off the Tulane grads in the legislature by taking their coach.

Sounds far fetched I know but stranger things have happened. He won't get another chance to right what he felt was the biggest mistake in his coaching career

After Landry’s rant I suspect they’ll go bargain shopping, so I suspect it will
End up Sumrall

It's as entertaining as hearing 'from my super secret source'.

Saban is NOT coming here, neither is Kiffin. With how fricked up Louisiana politics is, we will have to take whatever coach that we can get. It’s gonna be a long few years for LSU football.

Take some Pepto Bismol. It works on 5 symptoms.

Sumrall would be fine by me. Seems to be a solid coach that has had success at two stops already. Much better than Sunbelt Billy.

I'd be surprised if Sumrall was the final pick. He has a bunch of years as asst , and position coach, but only 4 as a head coach , all head coaching is Non-SEC. He does have a few good wins v P4, but The Green Wave is not crushing teams. He'll get a look, but then the P4 heavies will come around (or already have).

It would help if the incoming coach could properly pronounce "boudin", but winning will cure a whole lot, just ask Univ of Indiana. I wonder about the balance between "must have Louisiana ties" and "proven winner" . Bama went way "out of network" to get their present coach, who seems to be learning his craft good enough thus far.

I assume somebody is watching all the private jets on Flightaware.com (eg N1UA)

Good Luck LSU Tigers.

Yeah because Tulane are on the fence about voting for/with Landry.
