Landry will pick the new coach. We can all sleep better tonight and throughout the rest of the season.
Even Saban is saying Ole Miss is a better situation than at LSU. This search is going to be a disaster.

Calm down. I don’t like what Landry is doing here, but he flat out said “I won’t be picking the next coach”
And honestly, even if he did, it doesn’t guarantee a bad hire.

Landry isn't picking the next coach
He's just the president until next week when Wade Rousse gets here.
The only thing abnormal about this search will be that it's conducted by a committee appointed by the BOS instead of an Athletic Director

He has to have cause, a hearing. It’s a big process. They do not serve at will. They can be removed, but it’s unlikely

That's not how that works, considering the governor hand-picks the LSU BOS when terms expire. Half of them are his appointments, and he'll fill out the rest when the others' terms expire. The governor tells the BOS what he wants them to do.
Not that I agree with the governor; far from it. Just explaining how it works.

That almost frightens me more than Woody making the hire. Committees of this nature are usually clusterfricks.
