Landry is gonna make a mockery of this that may take two decades to recover from.

He’s meddling in lsu president, ad and coach searches.
No sane coach would want his future tied to the governor.
On top of all that are dumbass announcer McMakin wants to withhold funding to Tulane and Loyola over Charlie Kirk.

Prior to Saban the 5 year period from 1984-1988 was the winningest 5 year period in LSU history. 1982 was epic also. Just sayin.

Previous Govs have absolutely been involved in coaching hires.

Same board that started the day saying “We need to give Frank a shot.” Same board that says we need to call Saban. Same board that wanted O to get another shot cause he’s “One of us.”
Honestly, I’d rather a committee with input from the AD of course. Especially with the shitshow this board has been.

If the committee makes the decision that's fine. But the public statements that are being made are killing it.

I agree to a certain extent. We need a committee that has a mix of Louisiana ties and outside help. Pay Saban $1MM to head the committee and go from there. His insight on how CFB works and his experience with Louisiana culture from an outsider would be invaluable!

When a university accepts public funds and doesn’t allow equal student representation, they should lose those funds.

Well, we’re giving a coach $50MM+ to NOT coach LSU. When you’re talking about that type of money what’s $1MM more really going to hurt? If you can afford $50MM+, what’s another $1MM really going to hurt? Get it right this time and you won’t have to spend $50MM to rid yourself of a problem!
