Saban to LSU chatter dating back several months/years

Just before the season started, I was on a plane from LAX to MSY and seated next to a person who claimed he “knew people” influential to LSU. It all started because he was wearing an LSU hat and we talked about all the great players over the past few decades.
Then out of nowhere and a few cocktails in he quietly says, hey I really think Nick Saban will be coming back to LSU and he’s gonna bring Arch Manning with him.
He said this isn’t just talk, it’s a real possibility. At the time Manning was highly considered as the best quarterback in the nation.
Normally, this kind of talk sets off my BS and dream on meter and it did exactly that at the time. But now I’m sort of doing a double take whether or not this could really happen. I still think there’s no way a Manning comes to LSU I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard Saban wanted to come back to LSU from diehard fans.
My personal opinion is this is something from Dandy Don or Jordy Culotta just trying to stir the pot but we shall see I guess.

He did make a comment about regretting leaving LSU but it's taken wildly out of context. It was college football he missed, not LSU specifically.
