Decommitments Watch for programs with fired coaches

I had an idea interesting for me and probably some others. As we know, many times programs get decimated by decommits after the HC is fired. So I did a quick check on 247 sports for the 3 major programs (sorry Arkansas and Okie State) as to the withdrawn verbals after the 3 major ones of note fired their HC. Obviously, I'm only using the actions happening after termination. I'm not insinuating any reason, just giving the facts.
LSU - 0
Florida - 0
Penn State - 10 !

Smart kids will at least wait to see who the new coach is.

Well, my experience at looking at this means I guess most kids are "dumb"
Usually within a week of the firing and no head coach in sight, they bail. I will give one possible explanation as to LSU's retention. 12 out of 18 commits are from Louisiana. So there is probably a lot of "I really want to play for the state university and don't care who the coach is."

Does that suggest that whoever hires Franklin may have a few good players follow him?
1. Offer Franklin a lowball deal (let Penn St pay him)
2. Use money saved to grab the top players from their decommits, keep our recruits and portal in studs
3. Profit
I know coaching changes board. But thought it was appropriate response to the number of Penn St decommits. Actually, I assume most of the decommits for Penn State are from that region and will end up at other Big 10 schools.

Commitments are a complete and utter joke these days.
Kids commit, and decommit, and recommit, all at the drop of a hat.
I don’t think they understand what the word commitment means.

I guess I shouldn't say kids are dumb if they bail immediately. There's nothing really wrong with opening your recruitment back up as long as you are open to the new coach re-recruiting you. Jumping immediately to another school is dumb.

Decommitment states: TN 1, VA 2, CA 1, NC 1, MD 2, NJ 1, DE 1, PA 1 Looking at that it MIGHT support my point that LSU has much larger % of commits from the home state than Penn State has which probably hurt them in this. Obviously, these many kids have no ties to Pennsylvania.
