Don’t misunderstand me, I hope LSU gets him but, this is a pressure job. Ole Miss isn’t. LSU wants championships; Ole Miss would like championships but in the end, they want their team to look respectable they enjoy a mint julep in the Grove.

Good points. And I will give him credit: Moscona made a good one yesterday. 10 or even five years ago, I would have said you can’t win a championship at Ole Miss. in this new world of college football, I think it’s possible.

Because he could have better players and resources to build something more than a playoff team with. I don’t know if that is enough to pull him away from a pretty comfortable position at OM, but that is the difference outside of the money.

Some people want the prestige, challenge and expectations that come from one of highest level CFB jobs.

It’s no different than in business that some dudes want to be CEO of highly competitive and prestigious companies and others are content at lower level, safer positions or companies.

I don't think it will be him, for exactly what you stated

Add every other coach to the list of people who may have anxiety about walking into this.

Everybody just loves that the social media lynching was successful. Not me. He wasn’t the man but I fear we hurt ourselves more than him.

LSU should never have pulled that trigger mid season. I hope it works out for the best. It’s done, so no point in dwelling.

There are unresolved, really negative issues that are staring at this team. The 4 games left, the buyout, the poisoned coaching prospect pool, and recruiting with signing day coming up in a few weeks.

A new coach is gonna want more guarantees than Kelly had.

We’re not waiting until January to throw a Hail Mary at Kiffin.

I am not a Kiffin advocate. I’m an LSU advocate.

Because these dudes are ultra competitive and LSU is viewed universally as a premier job, whereas, OM is not. Lane and his family will be set for life financially no matter what. He no doubt wants to win a title and has always had his eye on this job.

I don’t think he does. I think he would have definitely been here had we chosen him and not Kelly, but I don’t see him leaving to come here now.
