Anyone feel like this is finally our big break?

I know in 2021 we were excited for fresh blood into the program, but we also were in one hell of a mess with the roster & organization.
A new coach is walking into a gold mine. All of the boosters are aligned. He will have all the support, and be a day 1 celebrity in Louisiana. It will be easy to be LSU HC after BK. (BK did some good stabilizing but he was an unlikable dick)
It feels like this is finally the big break for LSU. Where we can catapult to excellence & consistency. The national pundits are pumped, they know a monster is about to awaken.
This feels like a true calm before a storm

We don’t know who the frick is making the hire and I have zero confidence if Landry is meddling.

We didn’t fire BK to hire a dud. Our money people know who they are hiring. It will be Lane. Or another competent name.
Landry, like him or not, we couldn’t have fired BK so promptly without him.

We said the same with Les then hired O. We all thought firing O would lead to the great LSU reset and here we are.
Too many slimy people involved and now you have one donor dropping his bag on Kelly’s buyout.

maybe , but im pretty sure we didnt know we were firing Kelly at all until that meeting between him and SW went south.
I dont believe we had someone in mind, I think all this just kind of happened.

Exactly. We are just as likely to end up on a hiring carousel of bad or mediocre hires. The landscape is littered with programs doing the same. Look at Florida. Look at Auburn.

I'd like to see that we're doing a thorough search first and not just hiring Lane bc he's a name everyone knows and will win the press conference
