I don’t think the issue was Brad Davis with the OL

It was scheme!

On OTB this morning Hester and Flynn showed improvements in our running game and why Berry was averaging 7 YPC. It was because we got away from the RPO crap where the OL were pass blocking and allowed them to put their hands in the dirt and Geaux!

It was Sloan who got away from it in the second half only giving berry 1 touch.

With Sloan we lacked any sort of identity at all!

I think the OL will be improved going forward enough to make a difference. I could be wrong but I hope I’m not.

The O line was bad before BK got here and Davis was the O line coach then.

He’s a huge part of the problem. Don’t fool yourself

LSU can and should do much much better. Davis had his chances , and he failed miserably. But he is from BR, but we won't hire Kevin Mawae, who have forgotten more about OLine play than Davis, because he is a former LSU player....even though he was a HOF NFL OLine player. That isn't good enough for some because he doesn't have a lot of experience coaching.....like Kyle Williams had none, but that was ok for some reason.
LSU is nuts to avoid using KM's expertise....just teach our Olinemen was he lived and breathed at HOF level. How could he possibly be worse than Davis who we have had for years? Nonsense

Then why is the pass blocking technique bad? Why do they fall down so damn much?

He's not a good coach. Just an elite recruiter.

The OL was bad with Jake Peetz as OC.
The OL was bad with Mike Denbrock as OC.
The OL was bad with Joe Sloan as OC.

You know who the one constant was?

Seems like OL were more coached on pass blocking over run, they were not attacking line of scrimmage always standing up and playing on there heels, just my observation

This is such a bullshite narrative that i debunked already.

Before Davis the OL was not some road grader. Davis was here in 2021, but do you remember 2020? Do you remember 2018? Hell, do you remember 2019? James Cregg was the OL coach then.

In 2019 CEH had 1400 yards and averaged 6.6 ypc, but why did every RB behind him average less than 5 yards per carry? That was that experienced OL. Even in 2018, the numbers per game were decent, but that was only because we ran 43 times a game. Our top RB had 240 carries at 4.3 ypc. CEH had 145 carries at 4.5 ypc.

Look at 2025. The RBs are averaging 4.7, 4.8, and 4.9 ypc.

i will reiterate this crap over and over, but in Brad Davis's 2 years with Denbrock and Jayden Daniels, the RUNNING BACKS, averaged 5.4 and 5.3 yards per carry. Literally the highest average for a group since the 2017 season with Guice and Darrell Williams. In 2022, every RB averaged over 5 yards a carry except for Emery who averaged like 4.9. In 2023 every RB averaged over 5 yards a carry except Noah Cain at 4.9 ypc, however he was our goal line back.

I'm telling yall right now that LSU is about to be able to run the ball very well. Sloan and his scheme and Kelly's stubbornness prevented LSU from being better.

Wrong all the way around. Yall consider not being the best of all time as bad. Yall used to consider LSU's OL soft because we'd run for 200 on everybody but Bama back when we had Fournette and Guice.

Ao many of you are too fricking dumb to realize there is a middle ground between a busted dam and the great wall of China.
