I’ve always liked Pate, but isn’t this a bit soft of him to now come out with this information after Kelly has been fired and everyone is piling on? Such a low hanging fruit hindsight 20/20 take. And I’m glad Kelly is fired.

I never thought he was the same coach I remembered seeing at ND from day 1. Didn’t seem to care as much I remembered.

Pate is a blowhard with zero sources. Kelly sucked, but he put up his own money to go get some players to LSU. He wanted to win a title, he just couldn’t.

If what Pate said is true, BK never gave a shite about LSU. We were only a paycheck to him. He said that the environment within the football program was unbelievably toxic under Kelly. He basically said that Kelly was a cancer and that we will be better off now that he is gone.

Would be risky to do that here. Kelly could go after him for defamation. Especially when Kelly could be looking for another job. So I feel like there has to be some truth there.

Pate’s a dumb shite and not true to himself as a journalist. At least Finebaum would call people out on their mistakes. This guy is now blabbing because he’s no longer beholden to potential interviews.
