Feels like that second tweet by Dellenger doesn’t happen unless they are very serious about letting him go right now

I believe the rumors that the money is there but they don't want Woodward involved in the hire of his replacement.

Basically a big money coup because of how bad he's been and how much of their money (and Aggie money) he lit on fire

Seems like it's a done deal except for how to finance/pay the buyout.

That money isn't just sitting in a buyout slush fund.

Imagine being Brian Kelly. One of the world’s largest egos. You watched two cartoon characters win national titles at LSU, imagine what you can do with that talent, only to have this happen.

The cognitive dissonance has to be brutal

The funny/sad part is that he clearly has NO idea how to correct the ship.

The question is who do you replace him with? There's a ton of openings and not many choices, especially if Kiffin stays at Ole Miss

See my thread. The options are shite as candidates.

There aren't many even good prospects. Once you get passed Kiffin (and he has a lot of issues people are ignoring) it gets REAL mid, other than the alumni population.

I am interested to see what happens to Woody. He seems like a great fundraiser but he kind of has one move in the book when it comes to hiring, and when you need to make more of an austerity hire (like we did after the Jimbo buyout, and LSU might after this buyout) I don’t think you want him making it any way.

I am not familiar with all the factors at play but I remember him being very connected politically there which I’m sure makes this even more complicated
