Woodward will not be involved with next FB Head Coach decision

Anyone thinking Kelly is going anywhere needs to hold tight as long as Woodward is sitting as AD.
Woodward now has arguably the two worst CFB hires of the last 20 years on his resume.
No Woody means No Kelly.
Challenge is that Woodward is heavily connected with the upper echelon of donors and Board of Supervisors decision makers.
We will see if the Good Ole Boys network wins out.

At earliest, a decision will not be made until we are in the 2027 season.

Mulkey was coming back anyway to be near family

Based on buyouts, people forget that Woody's replacement redid Jimbo's contract giving him a raise and an extension.
Without that extension, Jimbo's buyout would have been less than $40 mil instead of $75mil plus.
Based on actual results?
just look at the 2021 Coaching Cycle (including guys getting raises to stay at their school)
Jimbo - Raise and Extension fired before Kelly was fired at LSU
Mel Tucker - fat raise and extension fired "with cause" so no buyout but a serious black eye to Mich State
Billy Napier - two losing seasons (and a losing record when fired this year)
that's 3 just in the year 2021.
Brian Kelly was a bad hire.
But not in the discussion for worst ever.

I dont count Mulkey as being "his pick." She wanted to come here 30 years ago. It's her home.
To me Woodward is 33%. Baseball, Mens BB and Football hires.
