Moscona made a legitimately good point last night.

BK loses EVERYONE next year. And i do mean everyone.
You basically start over from scratch. BK is 64 now, theres a chance he just calls it quits instead of spending next season in the worlds most hostile pressure cooker.
Is that old frick really gonna lead LSU through a near complete rebuild? Just to lose his job anyway?

Either way, it would be shocking if he was LSU’s coach next year at this point. Firing Sloan or Davis does NOTHING to improve this year or change the team’s ability to block better, play harder, be more disciplined. This is all on the head coach.

Honestly, yes. I guess I’d hate having millions of people hate me. Owning up and saying it didn’t work out would ease a lot tension.

I could see Kelly saying frick it. I’m going to do media and enjoy life. You can tell its weighing on him. Kelly’s agent is probably salivating at the thought of negotiating a buy out with Woodward. Would probably net him more money somehow.

So if we're 7-5, losing record in conference play, how many players are going to opt out of playing in the Liberty Bowl?
How many are going to hit the portal?
And a complete rebuild?
This program will be in a worse position than at the end of Ed O's tenure.

I don’t care about Moscona, but I do agree that next year is a total rebuilding year. Between normal attrition and portal losses, it looks like we’ll need 35 players between recruiting and the portal. And not just players - key skill positions. What are the odds that Kelly can put together 35 new pieces into a cohesive team? How’s he doing this year with roughly that same # of new pieces? Do we want another year next year that looks just like this year or worse?

At this point he is hoping to be fired. He knows it is over . At this point LSU hopes he will quit. Those are your starting points for a negotiated settlement. If he doesn’t quit you tell him no money for a new staff no money for NIL and if he is willing to be Humiliated another year and have to suffer even then that is how it is

I concur. Kelly is at the point of no return and I’d be shocked if he’s not fired, no matter the cost. Sooner the better.

Kelly came to BR to make bank then retire. That's all. I wish he would negotiate a lower buyout, but I seriously doubt he will. Why would he?

My thought is Kelly looked so mad last night not because he is worried about being fired, it because he wants to win a title and LSU is his last chance.
He won’t quit, he will spend money to try to win one next year, he is not the guy to do this with this staff.
Coach O was not the guy until he got the right players with the right coaches to win it
