"Cozy" = small
"Handymans special" = dump that should be condemned
"Eclectic" = hideously out of style

Most of the time you give the house away for free because the cost to move it and repair the damage caused by moving is too high to not just build new. There are outliers in both sides of course but generally you have to give it away.

This

Best use I’ve seen is making it a hunting club or fish camp.

Why not set on fire, call the volunteer fire dept so they can have some training.

Write off value as a charitable deduction.

Profit or go to jail.

I've sold homes to be moved before for $1000 - $5000. But, I've also given them away as long as they handle the moving costs and clean up afterwards. Call a couple house moving companies and ask them if they want the home - try to get a buck or two - be aware, these guys are VERY DIFFICULT to deal with and they won't do it in the time frame that they promise. Get the money upfront

Anything unique about the house itself? How old is it?

Just spit balling, but if it has good old timber or features, you may get more selling it as salvage than moving it.

Start a rumor that it is haunted.

More likely to find someone to take it off your hands without charging you for the moving costs.

We are HIGHLY interested in selling our home located on family property and would like to find a realtor to do so. I have yet to visit with a realtor who is willing to attempt to sell it as they are accustomed to selling the property with the home. Absolutely no help (yet) to be found.

We were projecting a solid $35,000 to move it and would accept that.

I saw one for sale the other day for $40k, it was pretty small (2 bedrooms) but didn’t look too shabby inside

I had a small house on Jefferson Highway in BR that I first tried to give away. Had one guy that moved houses agree to take it, but then backed out.

I auctioned it off using a trade/barter group that I was a member of and got 17K in trade. The people that bought it, then began to disassemble the house, removing floors, cabinets and hvac system and then abruptly stopped.

I wound up hiring an attorney to have them evicted from the property so that I could demo it.

What a shite show. Learn from me, just hire someone to demo it and haul it off.

The old baws that could demo and rebuild it as a camp don't exist any longer.
