Ad bars at bottom of mobile view for logged-in users...has that always been there?

Maybe I just haven't paid attention previously. Noticed it today. Ad bar on the bottom holds there when scrolling up and down on page.
If it's a bug and not a feature, I'm on iOS 26.0.1.

Half the users have had it for over a year now, we just rolled it out to everyone.

Just saw this thread after I posted another similar thread about it.
The main draw of TD for me is that it is LSU/La/BR centric.
After that, it’s the design. It’s so much easier on the eyes than other message boards.
I understand the site wants to maximize profit, but when it starts to affect the one of the main draws of the site, hopefully they take a step back and consider what the user prefers.

I HATE the ad bar. Chicken I know your getting rich(er), but this is really lowering the bar.
