WOW! In a MASSIVE win, the Trump DHS successfully BANNED ALL immigration judges from giving illegal aliens bond - a tactic WIDELY used to facilitate the invasion under Biden
“A new immigration court directive could keep people detained MUCH longer until they're deported."
"The Board of Immigration Appeals...for the first time in American history ruled immigration judges can NO LONGER grant bond for undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. without authorization, all-but guaranteeing MANDATORY detention for those detained. It is a monumental decision."
This will ensure they can't flee and avoid deportation if caught! HUGE.

Might insure the arrest of a judge for violating it.

Good!
Makes you wonder why this wasn't already the case.

This is my only gripe with Trump 2.0 about deportation. Why not strengthen the system that's already in place to deport people?
Immigration judges are part of the Executive Branch. Temporarily (short-term hires, deputize qualified people, etc.) hire as many immigration judges as you need to get rid of the backlog.

Is this a strategy to shovel huge amounts of taxpayer money to private prison owners?

That would be a sound policy choice that would save many millions of dollars that are being shoveled to private prison owners.
Won’t happen because it destroys the real grift.

Pertaining to my duties as Lord of the Manor of Frog Level, Louisiana ( recently annointed by King Trump)
I am heading up the new Immigration Star Chamber as Knight Commander of the Bailiwick of Immigration.
All those hereafter detained will be kept in stocks and pelted with rotten vegetables until deported.

I think this is already in the works.
Under Trump first term Sessions tried to add more and they blocked it.
Then he said okay we will try them 20 at a time. Have them answer a simple question, is your asylum due to fear/persecution or economic. If its fear/persecution show us documentation....or you will be deported, tagged and never allowed to reenter. They started just heading home. Then lawfare got involved and said each individual had to have a court hearing.
The left really do hate America.

Kinda hard to cast an illegal vote when you're locked up.

The reason for the need of all these holding facilities is the monumental task of deporting. You have millions of people all over the US that need to be deported to 180 plus countries. You cant fire up a cargo plane in Chicago to deport two folks to Madagascar. You have to move people of certain countries to certain facilities, load a full plane and send them home.

FWIW, Chat GPT says the number of immigration judges has gone DOWN during Trump 2.0:
"Here are the relevant staffing numbers for the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) concerning immigration judges (IJs):
At the end of FY 2024, EOIR had 735 immigration judges on staff.
For FY 2025, there are credible reports the number of judges has declined, falling to around 685 judges by the end of Q3."

Thanks for posting. It's actually a good piece of journalism. Not surprisingly, it's local news...not a network.

Hmmmm
"An immigration judge who was fired by Trump for no reason".......now works as a lawyer trying to keep illegals in the country.
What a system.

I looked it up Ivory, you are correct, only a budget for a modest increase in judges, interesting.
Maybe they will go back to processing them in groups versus individually, that would exponentially remove the backlog.
I also think they are applying the liberal strategy against them by overwhelming the system making it impossible for lawfare to file millions of "maryland man" defenses, the soros of the world simply dont have enough funding.
