Sloan is a lame duck, so why waste the next 5?

Believe it or not, this roster still has enough talent for an outside chance at a playoff spot. And in a 12 team playoff, losses to what will end up being 2 top 15 teams doesn’t kill you.

Joe Sloan will not be the OC next year, whether BK is the head coach or not. Nobody can honestly steer away from the fact that we have been absolutely garbage on offense since USC last year. So why delay the inevitable when there is a 100% chance you have somebody on staff that can scheme better than this?

This is what appalls me about Brian Kelly, this stubborn SOB will sit back and let it play out to save face on his postgame “you’re spoiled” comments knowing good and damn well what the outcome is on this trajectory. It’s maddening.

And so is Nuss. Find out if MVB can be your guy for next year. Admit he’s really injured (besides his pride) and let prep for the draft so he can move from the fifth to the fourth round

I wouldn’t be surprised at all that were he to come in, the offense would flow nicely. We would all be mad as hell that would could have had a shot, except for hard headed coach not using him. Somewhat like what Miles would do in the bowl games. We were all left asking “where has this been all damn season?”

This is the reason I have never advocated for hiring/keeping/promoting a coach due to a specific recruit.

It rarely works out - if ever. Kelly deciding to promote Sloan to keep Underwood in tow was a terrible decision, even prior to the benefit of hindsight.

The real thing now is to take away play calling from Sloan - I doubt BK wants it - more scrutiny on him. I wouldn't outright fire him though.

Since Kelly’s going nowhere who would you like to see hired as OC?

I don’t care brother.

Anybody who is on the LSU offensive football staff (in any capacity) no doubt is at least qualified to call a simple HS offense, while Joe Sloan has shown that he is not.. even against vastly inferior opponents.

Because BL is a complete moron who doesnt know a thing about offense. He thinks its still 1990.
He will not ever admit he hired a bad coach.

Say what the frick yall want about O, but her hired great people and got the frick outta the way. And it works, imagine that.

We would be better off, right now, with a better record, with O running shite.

My bad, I meant for next season. IMO the entire offensive staff should go.

Line up in that formation and play action right up the hash mark to Green

If Sloan isn’t calling plays, the insinuation is that he’s gone.

And if Sloan is gone, he’s holding the door open on his way out for Davis who’d be right behind him.

That’s what a smart OC would do, and that’s what a coach on the hot seat would demand….

I’m sure we won’t see it

Interior line probably gets blown back and trips Nuss, he fumbles to start the game and limps to the sidelines
