Let’s revisit the recruitment of Bryce Underwood and how the it could be the final nail in the coffin for BK at LSU.

BK assumed Sloan would leave for a coordinator job if he didn’t get promoted after 2023 and Sloan was the primary relationship with a newly committed Underwood. In order to keep Underwood, he lets Denbrock walk and promotes Sloan with the idea that BU comes here and saves everything.

Well now what are we left with? Absolute shite dumpster fire. Would Underwood/Sloan even have worked? Probably not. So far, Sloan’s greatest accomplishment is being tied to BU and he never even got to coach him. Congrats, a high school kid liked you for a few months.

Extremely short-sighted move by BK to promote Sloan in times like this where money will change everything in an instant. Should’ve gone after a real OC with big time experience.

That's why Kelly shouldn't be in bed with Nuss. Nuss was always option2 to Bryce.

So why not play whoever gives you the best chance to win? #FreeMVB

Because Nuss is a Christian and came back for 5th year.....in BKs mind, hes rewarding him.

Honestly, Nuss isn't the real issue. The OL is the worst in the SEC, by far. That's in Nuss's head as he breaks the huddle

Honestly as soon as Underwuss bailed Kelly should have IMMEDIATELY gone after a dual threat QB.

I’ve been saying from the beginning thar BK is LAZY.
His best coaching days are behinf him.

People here constantly say this but no one has an explanation as to why they didn't replace Sloan during the offseason after Underwood's decommittment.

Why is everyone convinced MVB gives us a better chance to win?

From all reports, he was severely inaccurate during fall camp.

I get that he's a little more mobile than Nuss but he isn't an elite athlete like JD5 or something.

No one is convinced, we all just know Nuss makes enough bad decisions, that end up loosing games.

MVB averaged a pick every 36.5 pass attempts last season.

Nuss averaged one every 43.7 pass attempts last year.

Nuss is averaging one every 46.4 attempts this year.

Nuss is a career 63.5% passer, MVB is at 54.7%

It's just hard for me to imagine a situation where MVB comes in with limited knowledge of the offense and plays well behind a bad offensive line and with no elite receivers and a terrible rushing offense.

We should all know with this offensive playbook and this oline, there isn't a chance in hell that BU would be any better than Nuss. You are kidding yourself if you think so.
Our entire playbook has been memorized by all SEC teams. It is that easy to figure out. BU would leave after one year if he played behind this oline and had these poorly coached receivers to throw to.

There’s no real point in comparing these numbers. Nuss was in his 4th year of CFB compared to a true freshman. State also had one of the worst rosters in P5 football, while we had a really good pass blocking OL (at least until Dellinger went down) and a few solid receiving options. If MVB was the starting QB for LSU his stats would look much different than what they did at MS State.
