Have you ever seen an LSU team look this lost and unprepared?

I know some of yall are 60+, but for those of us under 40 it’s mind blowing.
Forget the well deserved Kelly bashing and just think about the factual state of this team every week. I am legitimately curious what this team does at practice.
Even in our Les and O rough years, at least our team usually had a scripted opening drive and seemed to play like the players gave a shite despite sloppy coaching or coordinating.
All season our offense has looked lost on first down in the first quarter. Our teams looks defeated and apathetic before the first quarter is over. After the third game our defense has looked out of position and off balance.
Our season started off wobbly with a couple glaring issues but instead of getting some adjustments, the same old mistakes just kept getting worse each week. I’m worried after this loss the wheels are about to come off completely.
Missed blocking assignments on every early run play, 40 second clock run off leading to timeouts in the first half, False starts coming out of timeouts, overthrown balls on every deep route, inability to check down out a blitz, complete lack of imagination in the running game, no ability to contain or spy a QB on third and long, leaving receivers open over the middle within 6 yards of the line, seemingly no scripted or discernible plan in the redzone, etc.
During college gameday Kirby Smart talked about how important a good scout team is and it had me wondering if LSU prepares to play their opponents or simply practices going through generic football motions and then just hopes it’ll translate on Saturday. And has stupid as that sounds, it’s basically what Kelly says every week. I think he just puts the team through standard blocking drills and non contact walk throughs and expects them to click in real time. How else do you explain it?

The entire 1980's and most of the 90's? Nobody who matters cared then and they still don't now.

This is true. I'm an old man too
The reality is that the LSU organization is just like everything else in this horrid state. It is corrupt and guided by people who pretend to care about winning while enriching themselves and their friends and families. If you continue to give your money by supporting it then you are part of the problem.

The destruction of the gameday experience by the ghettoization and shootings should be the icing on the cake. Remember LSU for what it was, go spend time with your familes and outdoors.

It's just so tiresome to see grown-arse men act like it's the end of the world because the local college team is average. Nobody who matters cares.
Having an average football team is not going to hurt the state one way or another. Pretending to be something we clearly aren't while squandering hundreds of millions of dollars on a hobby does.

Did you people not watch LSU football in 2020 and 2021?! I’m serious, did you just start watching us okay? How about the fricking 90’s!

You aren’t serious. The Krewe Of Curley. If you don’t want to go that far, look @ the 21 team. That KY game on the road….

We moved the ball and scored on the opening drive yesterday.
Pretty sure we did the same against south carolina
Scored pretty early on against ole miss too, so i dont get your point

2020 and 2021 were the worst I have seen. Max Johnson’s behind the back basketball toss made may mouth drop wide open.

You just came off the greatest team ever dipshit, yeah we should’ve capitalized off that but in true Louisiana fashion we fumbled it

Yes and I didn't need your dissertation to recall times over each of the last 3 coaching tenures

Nothing was worse than the early 90s. BUT I’m afraid we’re heading for something similar.
