It’s actually awesome if you watch it for what it is: almost a spoof. They did a really good job of bringing out the corny-ness of a zombie apocalypse. The acting was bad, but it was purposeful and supposed to be. I loved it. Kinda cut from the same sort of cloth as the evil dead, but not so quite over the top.

Same team that did Z Nation. To me, so much better, fast paced, bizarre, well acted series on Netflix.

Everything about this statement is patently false.
Black Summer is a terrible, terrible show. I didn’t hate watching it, for what it was, but it is just very poor in quality.
For the OP, Z Nation starts off solid but goes off the rails stupid at one point. I don’t remember when it happens, but I checked out once the one dude starts controlling certain things (trying to avoid spoilers). Even before that, it wasn’t overly good. But once the certain thing happens, it took me completely out of it and it took a nosedive off of the “decent” cliff straight into terrible.

I watched the first couple of seasons and lost interest. If I remember correctly the 1st season is a little crazy in a good way
