IYHO who are the most overrated and underrated fanbases in sports?

Criteria can be whatever you want to base it on. I’ll start with CFB.

Overrated: Penn State. Everybody always talks about tWhiteout, but everytime you see highlights of it getting loud it’s the PA blasting “HOOOOEEEEESSSS CALLLLIIIINNNNN”. No crowd noise. Also, Penn State are a bunch of pedos.

Underrated: Alabama. I hate myself for giving them any credit, but the 2019 LSU-Alabama game was one of the loudest away atmospheres I’ve ever been a part of. Say what you want about those cousinfrickers being entitled and quiet, but they can get loud when they want to.

Next I’ll do NFL.

Overrated: Saints. Season ticket holder here. When the Saints are good, there’s no better atmosphere in the NFL. When they’re bad, the Superdome might as well be SoFi Stadium. This season’s home games vs. 49ers and Football Giants have been glorified road games. The excuses are always the same: “They travel well!” Ok and where did they get their tickets from? “I’m not watching, they’re terrible!” That never stopped Buffalo or Kansas City from packing their stadiums in the snow when they were rebuilding.

Underrated: Vikings. I’ve had the privilege of going to a couple of Vikings games at US Bank Stadium, and it was basically a Norse fortress. From the skol chant to the gjallarhorn, Minnesota is one of the best pro sports atmospheres I’ve ever experienced. The fans are passionate and they are LOUD. They are also very knowledgeable and enjoyable to watch a game with, despite their history of falling short of the BOWL.
