This is my favorite Youtube channel for history and current events. The guy was an exec at Fox News for 20 years and approaches a topic like a research paper. He is incredibly thorough and presents different points of views and the strenths and limitations of the different points of views. Also points out how the media can drive a narrative, and he's generally not a big fan of the media.

Who killed Jeffrey Epstein? Was it someone powerful with secrets that he didn't want exposed? Or did Epstein kill
00:05 himself as the government says? Most people think it was murder. Polls show that around half the country believes
00:11 that he was murdered and only 16% think he killed himself. And that's not just some leftright split. Finally, Democrats
00:18 and Republicans agree on something. And there's plenty of weirdness in this case, even if you believe everything
00:24 that the government says. He was left alone in his cell when he shouldn't have been. guards didn't do their job and

00:30 were supposedly sleeping at their station. A disputed autopsy. Multiple cameras were said to be broken. And on
00:36 top of all of that, a lot of powerful people may have wanted him dead. I'm Ken Laort. I research into questions like
00:43 this, and I do my very best to give you what I found and learned, and not a whole lot about what I think. Here,
00:49

we'll look at Epstein's initial crimes and a sweetheart deal. Then, inside his jail and look at some actual facts. The
00:57 cameras are a big point of contention, as was the autopsy. Finally, we'll take a look at the strongest reasons to

01:03 believe. Was it murder or suicide? So, how did Jeffrey Epstein end up in jail in 2019? It actually wasn't for any new
01:11 crimes. The government went after him for sex crimes that he' committed over a decade earlier and essentially evaded
01:18 justice on. So, what was the deal? In 2008, prosecutors in Florida accused him of paying underage girls for sex. They
01:25 said he exploited dozens of underage girls, some as young as 14. He essentially arranged sex encounters in
01:30 his home in a massage room that he had, and over time built a network where he and Gelain Maxwell got some of the girls

01:37 to recruit other classmates to take part. But instead of a trial that could have put him away for decades, he struck
01:43

a deal with federal prosecutors that was great for him. It was what they call a nonprosecution agreement where he
01:49 pleaded guilty to only two charges related to prostitution, one of a minor. He had been facing up to 60 federal
01:56 counts, but ended up serving only 13 months in jail with work release privileges that let him leave jail for
02:03 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. That deal required him to register as a sex offender, but it also protected him from

02:10 broader federal charges. The Fed's deal would haunt the DOJ for years cuz it was obviously weird. The Miami Herald in
02:17 2018 did some great work reporting on how prosecutors secretly met with his lawyers, excluded victims from the
02:24 negotiations, and cut a deal that they never should have done. But pressure had also been building on a number of other
02:30 fronts. Some of the women filed civil lawsuits against him and Maxwell. A defamation case against Maxwell forced

courts to unseal depositions and flight logs. There were documentaries, and the media pressure intensified, especially

02:43 when Prince Andrew was brought into the mix. Whatever political protection Epstein had essentially collapsed in
02:49 July 2019 when the Department of Justice during the first Trump administration indicted Epstein on multiple counts of
02:56 sex trafficking minors, charges that were outside of the protection of the original deal. Agents took him straight
03:02 to the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City. Because of his high profile, he was moved into the special
03:08 housing unit or SHU, which is heavily isolated confinement. Inmates there are segregated from the general population

03:15 and locked down about 23 hours a day. He plead not guilty but failed to convince the court to give him bail or house
03:21 arrest. The judge considered him both a danger and a flight risk who could easily disappear. This time his money
03:28

and connections worked against him. 5 days later he tried to kill himself. And this one we're pretty sure about. Hey,
03:35 for a while commenters here have said something to the effect of, "I keep waiting for a ground news sponsorship to
03:41 come up." And well, here you go. It's no surprise because people who like this channel are obviously interested in

03:47 learning about events in a way well beyond what you get from a news headline or even a single news source because
03:53 they all have their biases. As a user myself, I found ground news to be the single best tool you can use to find
04:01 your way through the media craziness. It shows you in one place how stories are covered across the political spectrum.
04:07 It shows the news outlet's political point of view, describe who funds it, and more. Take this recent story. The
04:13 White House named 30 elected officials, all Democrats, as alleged agitators against ICE agents, like Minnesota

Im not sure of your age or how many of the players and events you will be familiar with but if you want to listen to a broad non partisan discussion on the broader topic of Epstein see below. The conversation meanders a lot and if you arent familiar with folks and events being discussed you may be a bit lost. I had to do further research and dive deeper down the rabbit hole to get a better understanding of the discussion and its still an overwhelming amount of info to sort and unpack. In the end though its entirely understandable why there are many players in the upper echelons of government, high society, and intelligence that want this story to just go away.

The other 34 percent were "frick if I know," which is where I was until I watched the video, and now my opinion is that Epstein killed himself.

And now that the GOP is in charge, Trump refuses to release them at the urging of the rest of his colleagues….makes you say hmmmmmm quite a bit louder!

And was dead a month later. He never made it to trial. Courage or convenience on the part of “Trump’s DOJ”?

Have you read any of the files that have been released?

Serious question. For all the people yelling about the files. I'm willing to bet none of you have read them or will read them.

What are some of the probable causes for Youtube removing it?

Did they not want somebody saying "yeah, he probably really did kill himself?" Or did enough people not like receiving this message and flag the video?

These rich and powerful people control the world and can get into a prison undetected. Have everything under control so there are no leaks about how/who murdered him and have law enforcement in their pocket to help them cover up the murder.

Yet these same people had no forewarning that he was about to be picked up and put on a national stage and all of his documents taken by the Feds and held as evidence.

Because if they had forewarning they never would have let him get arrested and all the documents seized into public record. Would have killed him days/weeks before.
