The problem is our playmakers don't step up and make plays

Juwan Johnson - He was extended to 3 year, $30M contract. He flat out sucks. He's a bad football player. He'll make plays during a game but when it counts you can always bet he will drop the ball or fumble. Honestly can't believe we paid him what we did. It's baffling.

Chris Olave - This is his year to prove he's a #1, whether it be for us or someone else, and he's done everything to show when he has to make the big catch or the tough catch, he drops it everytime. There were three yesterday where he just had to make the play, and he's too weak or soft to make it. Michael Thomas makes the play. Jimmy Graham makes the play. Hell, Brandin Cooks made the toughest catch of the game. He made the play. Olave... please trade him.

Alvin Kamara - This isn't so much Kamara's fault as he's just getting older, but Miller should be getting 80% of the touches. Miller is a better runner at this point.

On a team devoid of playmakers, the ones we rely on come up short every single game. And I know the trend here is to blame Rattler, but the dude dropped some dimes yesterday only for his receivers to completely frick him over.

Broken record... this team needs talent and a new identity. I believe Kellan Moore can turn this team around quickly when he gets actual playmakers on the field.

Biggest issue is we don’t have real playmakers.

He is older, but I’d like to see him used differently too. He’s being used more as a regular running back and if Ike to see him more in that Sproles type role. Running wheel routes, going in motion and as a 3rd down back. He’s mostly just running up the middle, pass blocking and releasing into the flats.

Agreed! I'm wondering why Shaheed doesn't get 3+ deep shots every game? Defensively, why is it that there's 0 push up the middle by the starting DTs? Bullard played well, he should see more snaps.

We really don’t have any YOUNG playmakers other than Shaheed.

i'd really like a dynamic pass catching TE and one big, physical receiver that can contest and catch everything. is that too much to ask?

I thought Rattler played the single best game a Saints Qb has played since Brees retired. He was fantastic.

You are absolutely correct. Playmakers let him down.

Winston played better for five games until his injury IMO. He was never the same after that.

I need Rattler to make more reads and see the guys getting open in the middle of the field instead of making one read then dumping it into the flat. I also need him to give Vele some opportunities in the endzone. He is improving, but he needs to work on things like that in the red zone before he becomes a viable starting NFL QB.

So you agree Rattler can improve?

Preach. I kept harping over the summer that we have a lowkey bottom of the league group of weapons.

I think it’s a testament to both KM and Rattler that we battle as hard as we do.

I do even want the contested catch guy as much as I just want someone who runs great routes with toughness. He could be 6 feet 190 but if he’s clever and tough I think it would fill that roll. The giant contested guys can usually be had a bit later.

Like you said we need a better playmaker at TE.

He’s has plenty of room for improvement.

I’m not sure why everyone has to have an extreme opinion. Rattler has improved since the beginning of the season. Last year and the first game or two I don’t think he was playing like a guy who should not be an NFL starting QB. He’s now improved and playing like a low end starter. He’s got a ways to go before being a top 15 QB IMO, and I’m not sure he will ever be a top 10 QB.

I'd be curious to see what some of you think about play designs by CKM.
Kamara can be just as good but plays don't fit his strengths. Get the dude in space.
