and except for the Seattle loss, the Saints have been in every game…

This team may have a promising future.

I like what I’ve seen. They are scrappy, and they have brought all but 1 game down to the final seconds. This team is better than most on here thought.

We improve at DT, LB and OL and we can contend. Secondary did look bad today, but they are young and have been looking good prior to this. Lack of pass rush is a factor as well

We’re missing Justin Blackmon. He was killing it during preseason with him and Reid having a connection.

Help me out, how are we "rebuilding"? How's that work?

We are under the same cap and free agency process as the other 31 teams, yes?

Are we supposed to get REALLY lucky with a couple of draft picks?

Well, it was not too long ago that the Saints roster was talented enough to only have a few roster spots “open”. Meaning draft picks were not as important. Over time, these players received contracts that pushed the limits of legality regarding the salary cap.

Fast forward to today….

The roster is not very talented at all. There are too many older players that are being paid over their production levels. Thus, the roster needs to be turned over. Draft picks are vital at this point.

….In other words, the team/roster needs to be rebuilt.

The most annoying thing to me is it’s guys like Olave and Johnson who are letting this team down.

I can live with the breakdowns in coverage yesterday in the first half because they clearly figured it out at the half and adjusted.

But to watch two of your veteran “playmakers” continue to drop balls and fumble is inexcusable. We need to move on from both.

I really like Kellen , I feel like he’s going to get it turned around but we need different talent. Major changes are needed this offseason. I get being loyal to some of these vets but being loyal isn’t going to lead to victories

This team has been rebuilding since Drew and coach Payton left. Rebuilding teams load up on draft picks . Where is all those draft picks? Our Gm waisted time and has done a terrible job to get something to look foward too. We have cap space, but really ask yourself you trust this Gm to use it wisely.
