But I did see alot of base blocking and double teams. We ran for 160, go figure. Throw a couple of jets in there for Brown and Zavion to attack the edge and add some eye candy and we might just turn this shite around.

This was the first game where I actually saw our offensive line getting vertical push. Might’ve ran for 200 if Durham didn’t miss a couple of early gaps. I swear after that Frank or someone must’ve chewed his arse out because he began looking decisive in his runs like his freshman year.

Next order of business is keeping TreyDez out wide, making Kyle Parker a starter and replacing Weston Davis with Curne.

Ju Juan looked explosive on a couple of runs.

Good catch.

Not a Picasso but simplifying things seemed to help. There was definitely work done in the bye week.

IMO Most importantly, this coaching staff showed they can make adjustments. Very nice start but a ways to go.

He’s looked like that a few times this season. He also runs hard and has gotten some tough yards.

I like him as an RB, just gotta cut out the fumbles.

Double teams ARE zone blocking… one of the main components of the zone scheme

We ran a lot of zone, and we did a much better job of comboing doubleteam to next level

On one of Durham’s longer runs, Green sealed the edge as he was in motion to the right, the hole opened nicely to the left. Echols/Moore double team.

I don’t think I’ve seen that this year.

Double teams are just a type of block bro. Duo is considered running power without a puller and both are gap scheme runs. You can have double teams in zone or gap scheme runs.

We definitely ran some zone plays but I saw a lot more gap scheme runs as well is all I’m saying. Didn’t see us forcing stretch and OZ like the past weeks but they love running split zone for sure

Any progress by our o-line is welcome so I'll take it. Still a ways to got but just keep improving. I refuse to believe this is a talent issue.

I know that, that was the point i was making

That they arent mutually exclusive

OP read like if you are running double teams then you are not running zone

I was
Pointing out that double teams sre foundational in zone

Weston Davis definitely needs replaced. I have a hard time believing Curne could be worse than him. I was very bullish on WD to start the season, but he just plays as soft as baby shite.
