Northshore Half Check In

Good luck to anyone running tomorrow morning. I’m shooting for a 1:36 PR. Weather is looking good with 60 deg start.
First time Northshore runners make sure to arrive early. Traffic gets bad getting in to the state park.
I’ll see y’all on the other side double fisting some Abitas.

I'm not running but there's a beer festival at the Mandeville trailhead tomorrow. Could be a good place to continue the party after a PR!

Running and beer. The perfect combination.

Ran a 1:54! Goal was sub 2. Beautiful day for a run through the state park.

Goal was 1:45:00 and went ~10 seconds over. Did a total of 16 miles. Tent camped out there last night and cooked some spaghetti and meatballs. Was a nice night out there, took it easy on the beers during the game. Good experience overall, except for the damn raccoon that kept coming up to the table.

Picked up running two years ago. Yesterday was my first half marathon. Ran a slow-arse 2:18 like I knew I would. But, I made it to the finish line. Will need to train better for the next one. I am feeling it today since my old body doesn't recover like it used to. Better days ahead...

You got one under your belt. That's huge. Now you can start setting time goals for your future ones.

One of my goals is to run a sub-two hour half marathon as my first one later this year. I’ll never touch some of the times in this thread but this old guy is fine with that.
I would caution about posting very precise finish times for a race where the results are posted for everyone to see. Might just be paranoia but you never know.
