We dropped the ball on JJ

UT coaches were on the Barbe campus often...including Kiffin. So was Saban. The Hat NEVER stepped foot on Barbe's campus. IMHO if Miles had made a brief visit recently, JJ would be wearing purple and gold. Additionally, the McNeese coaches were constantly in his ear about NOT going to LSU...throwing the fact that Les never visited Barbe while Nick and Lane did in his face every chance they got...
Bottom line is he felt more needed/appreciated at UT while LSU came across more along the lines of JJ needing us...hopefully lesson learned, good luck to jj and move on...

BS and GFY - Lance and JJ lied to Les - Three days ago - JJ was solid to LSU and the Boom - He mentioned that two to three weeks ago he knew he was going to UT...They lied, both of them...Lance sold JJ to UT for the promise of a better job...

They took JJ for granted felt he was coming regardless. Thought he was solid. When you are dealing with 17/18 y/o nothing is definite.

He committed almost a year ago. He dragged everyone along for the ride. There is certainly behind the scenes crap with his dad to be added to the UT staff in the next year or two. Kiffin is going to be donkey fricked by Meyer and Saban in the next two years. Lane has very little chance of surviving skull-fricks from UT's biggest rivals the next two years.

If this is true, than I am disappointed. However, the way the Jackson/Guidry family played this whole thing out is classless. they should fit right in with Frank Wilson and Ogre.
And Saban (the same guy who lectured Sentimore about a commitment being a man's word, and how a man is judged, yada yada yada) gets praised for being relentless.
Miles needs to take these threats seriously for now on...Louisiana is now a battleground, and we shouldn't take anything or anyone for granted again. Hate to say it, but don't trust these kids anymore.

all this Kiffin crap has kind of slid Saban down the list of SEC coaches I really, really hate. Kind of like when Saban took the job at Bama and it pushed Tubby down the list. Or when Tubby smoked the cigar on our field and it pushed Spurrier down the list.
