For all of you dumbasses who think New Orleans doesn’t need the National Guard

Ask the lady whose husband was carjacked working as an Uber driver and drug down the street until the car was crashed and landed on top of him if she thinks the city is safe. Or ask the witnesses who watched it all happen and lifted the car off the poor man only to watch him die before their eyes what they think. You people are beyond help and the rest of us normal Americans are sick of you!

New Orleans is one of America’s great cities. Like Chicago and San Francisco. Half of me wants to fight tooth and nail to reclaim them Rog,and half of me wants to drop a bomb on them.i go back and forth.

Thats how I feel. Its sad really. These places are cultural centers and theyre just hellholes to live in.

NO is exactly like the residents of NO want it to be. Same with Shreveport, same with Juneau.
I hate to see great cities falter, but the people that live there dictate their lifestyle and thats how they want it to be. Its sad, but saving them would take a monumental effort.

Ideally, yes, but you’ve got local dimocratix governments and police departments who demonstrate daily no desire for law enforcement or public safety. I’ve got no problem with somebody stepping up to do the job the dims won’t do.

How long do you want the guard to hang around New Orleans? Do you think the voters there will change their voting habits during the time the guard is there? Do you think they will come to hold their leaders accountable for crime in the city?

While not exonerating the crime problem, this daily pronouncement of the shittiness of Nee Orleans after every single violent crime is overdoing it.
I’m totally on board with bringing in the National Guard! And yes, there’s lots more that can be done.
But the exasperation of non-New Orleanians about living in “that hell hole” is just ridiculous.
