Summer vacation advice: mountains, cabin, water, hiking...

Looking for someplace to rent a nice upscale cabin or house for a couple weeks next summer, thinking Wyoming or Colorado, or even Canada or Alaska. Would love a house on a lake allowing for some water fun, but also close to National Park-type hiking and horseback and/ATV riding. Would rather the house be a little isolated, rather than part of a resort. Any suggestions? Lets pretend price is no object.

A cabin in the Swiss Alps. Or in Bavaria.

Emerald Lake Lodge, Alberta Canada.
The Canadian Rockies are beautiful, and different than the US Rockies in that they are more rugged appearing, but very accessible. Any cabin in this area will allow you to visit Banff, Lake Louise, Icefields parkway. I'm sure you could find more affordable and remote, but you specified being on the water.
Jackson Hole/Tetons, with Jackson Lake Lodge or Jenny Lake are more resort style, but one of my favorite spots in US.
Coastal Maine, such as Boothbay Harbor or Ogunquit, has plenty of coastal bay Lakehouse style VRBO's.

Thanks. I'll do some research on these.

Look at Lake Crescent in the Olympic Peninsula Washington. it's in Olympic National Park and is amazing. We went in July for a week and it was an amazing trip. We stayed on the Coast in La Push, but we're all over the area and loved every minute.

Grand lake co. Rented a house for the summer two years ago. Hiked, biked, sxs, lake time all summer.

I will second the Olympic park/Lake Crescent suggestion. We rented a house on the Peninsula. It was in a small neighborhood but there was a lake. It was west of Port Angeles, that' all I can remember. It was late September so we didn't do any lake activities. The entire Olympic Peninsula is not a bad drive to get to all the different areas. Airbnb should have some good options.

Glacier NP
rent a boat for the day on flathead lake. Pick your day based on the weather the lake can get very rough very quickly
Burger town for a decent burger and excellent shake (huckleberry is the big thing over there)
Flathead lake brewing company is a cool spot
They have some nice golf courses
But the best thing is the weather, absolutely perfect in the summer
You get about 16 hours of sunlight during the summer so you can do a lot everyday

Soldotna Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula. Homer, Seward, and Cooper Landing are great day trips. On the way in or out you can visit Girdwood and Whittier. All 4 of my grandkids have truly enjoyed this area.
