I had a bunch of MRE's, bottled water and I bought some extra tanks for my camp stove.

I was at work until 2200 on NYE 1999. Lots of extra work available for y2k at my office.

I bought a generator so I could still keep my food and watch the news if we lost elec., as promised. I had both tanks on my boat full and bought 2-6 gallon cans. I had them and all 3 vehicles filled up. Extra food, cash, etc.

No lunch, just coffee. Eating at a yet to be chosen restaurant tonight.

I did not. I was working nights in the er that year.

Lunch is tbd.

I’ve been a lazy sloth today. Got up early and had some coffee, lacked proper motivation for the day so I went back to sleep for a few hours.

I've never heard of this. I guess the good news is it wasn't a hotdog.

I was the project manager for the Y2K conversion...it was all about liability...the IT and headend equipment manufacturer's made a killing saying everything had to be "updated" before they would sign off on Y2K conversion...
