Why does it take Davis getting hurt pregame for the coaches to find out Curne is better?

Same as Durham last year being better than Kaleb Jackson. And I know he’s been hurt but I’m willing to bet Solomon Thomas is better than both starting guards we have now. But they will probably end up slow playing him too. Why does it have to smack these coaches in the face for them to discover who the best players are?

Some are better practice players than others. Some shine when the lights come on.

The better question is why the frick are the only options a redshirt freshman and a true freshman

CBK shite the bed on his oline evals in the off season. Should have grabbed an experienced portal tackle

Is Curne the permanent starter now? I haven’t heard that.

If not, your post doesn’t make sense.

I kind of agree with you but at some point you have to develop. And rt is not the reason they are losing games. Curne looks great and I wouldn't move him off rt right now.

They paid up for curne and Weston adams. Brad Davis needs to coach them up better.

He needs to go honestly.

These coaches get paid massive salaries but yet are somehow unable to see what everyone else can plainly see. Blows my mind

Because they have no football experience and are stupid, unlike you. Please call them and let them know Curne is better than Davis, help them out please.

I still find the Davis news odd. Did someone punch him in the face?

Welcome to NIL portal era, the roster is basically being run on a salary cap. No one is sitting and missing out on a year of starter money. Depth is gone, it’s why you continue to see parity across the sport.

They left for NIL and playing opportunities elsewhere. Hard to find anyone with upperclassmen depth nowadays

He was too busy plugging holes on defense.

People talk about him building the program but it seems like he has to jump to the portal to get anything going and in areas he didn't, we're still not good.

We need interior push. It would be ideal to just get adequate play out of our right tackle and keep curne at lg.

I've been wondering what Thomas's status is. Back practicing, making progress, pushing those in front of him? Anyone know?

Especially as a true freshman.

Even more perplexing to all this is they're not even going to give Curne the starting job opportunity in SC despite looking better than Davis has all year. That's just dumb in my opinion. he might not be better, who knows but I think he at least earned the opportunity to see what he could do. He looked bad early which is understandable being his first ever start on the road. He settled in then looked better than Davis looked all year.

You let him start until he shows he's struggling. Davis is consistently graded as one of LSU's worst lineman.
