We are travelling to a few different states next month and was hoping to catch an NHL, NBA and NFL game. Prices are currently pretty steep for decent seats (lower bowl). Is it likely they would drop significantly the week of the game?
New york, nashville and orlando are the states we are looking at attending games

Depends on whether the team is winning games and fans are getting excited, or whether the teams sucks and the fans all want to fire the coach.

In general, there will always be people trying to dump tickets at the last minute. If you're a veteran, vettix will have ticket sales, especially close to the event. With New York, you're probably SOL though.l

generally speaking, they will drop. I can speak for Nashville, both teams (though the Tians moreso than the Preds) always have a heavy presence of visiting fans - outside of the Patriots and Chiefs games, no massive fanbases coming into Music City the rest of the season (and neither are great this year). Preds games can vary wildly on who they are playing, but generally deals can be found especially early in the season coming off of a terrible 2024-25 season. All that said, how many tickets you need is also a factor. A pair I would definitely tell you to wait, 4 or more...maybe pull the trigger when you're comfortable.

The key is to buy late. There are thousands of them and they expire if not sold by the time the event starts.

I sold $1600 worth of tickets to Motley Crue for barely $200 20 minutes after the festival started.
