I asked another couple to join us for a day trip to the MS Gulf Coast for this event. It’s been years since we last attended. The date for the day trip keeps getting pushed closer to the weekend, which I had hoped to avoid, due to reports of large crowds. Are we screwed if we end up going on Saturday or Sunday?

I was there Saturday and the traffic was already getting heavy. So NO, it's gonna be busy any day you go.

Guy at work burns all his vacation for this every single year. He's a huge car nerd though. To each his own

Looks like there’s bands performing in all the towns along the MS Gulf Coast.

That’s the jist. There is a schedule posted on the CTC website. Swap meets, parades, all sorts of specialty car gatherings. If you’re into classic cars, it’s a pretty fun event. These people don’t mess around and bring classics from all over the states.

You can post up at a restaurant or bring some food out chairs and cooler and just camp out on hwy 90 and watch cars ride down the beach.

It’s on of the largest car gatherings you’ll ever see. I’d suggest bay St. Louis this weekend and just walk around if you want a lot of action. Pass Christian downtown if you want a more relaxed atmosphere, they opened the Pass Bungalows recently with some good food and drink options over there. Stop by Pass cigars and grabs some October fest beers and a smoke. Lots of outdoor seating to watch the old timers and there hunks of metal. Have fun.

Don't go any further east than Long Beach and you'll be fine. In my experience, the further east you drive, the more congestion. Also hwy 90 in Biloxi is only one lane each way during CTC.

Enjoy! CTC is a fun event.
